Millions of families struggle to coordinate elder care. We're building an AI-first care coordination system with a personalized, voice-AI Assistant that becomes a trusted partner for caregivers—assisting them with managing the care coordination burden and reducing burnout.

Our founders scaled Speech AI and NLP at MindMeld and BabbleLabs (both acquired by Cisco). We're a small team of product, AI/ML, and senior care experts. You'll be our founding client engineering lead.

The Role

Design and deliver the end‑to‑end mobile experience which includes a Conversational AI interface for iOS, Android, and web, with their integration with backend services. Own the architecture and evolution of mobile UI components, state management, offline support, accessibility, and performance optimization for mobile platforms. While mobile is the priority, you will also oversee the evolution of our React‑based WebApp and ensure a cohesive experience across all client surfaces. Collaborate closely with product, design, infrastructure, and AI/ML teams to translate feature prototypes into polished, scalable, and compliant implementations.

Core Responsibilities

• Build iteratively and collaboratively to ship new features that delight users and shape the product while maintaining a high bar for craft, usability, and code quality.
• Architect and maintain a component library and design system that supports iOS and Android (and can extend to Web) including a robust built-in conversational AI interface.
• Implement responsive, performant, and accessible mobile interfaces using React Native and TypeScript, adhering to accessibility standards.
• Integrate mobile applications with CRUD, Search, and LLM APIs, handling authentication, data caching, and offline synchronization.
• Optimize mobile performance, including startup time, bundle size, and runtime rendering to meet low-latency voice-AI requirements.
• Ensure HIPAA‑compliant handling of PHI in the client, including secure storage on-device, transmission, and audit logging.
• Define and enforce mobile CI/CD workflows for automated builds, tests, and app store deployments.
• Work with UX research/designers to prototype and iterate on user flows for caregiving, scheduling, and messaging.
• Mentor junior engineers and champion engineering best practices, testing, and observability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building consumer‑focused mobile platforms, with a strong portfolio of shipped applications at scale.
• Deep proficiency in React Native and TypeScript, plus native iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin) development.
• Proven track record of launching and scaling mobile applications.
• Experience with state management (Zustand, Redux), mobile testing frameworks (Detox, Jest), and CI/CD tools (Fastlane, GitHub Actions).
